RadioDays Europe Finalizing Conference Slate

Additional speakers announced; application for special programs still open

The clock counting down to RadioDays Europe is closing in on a month to go and the list of speakers and events continues to fill out.

Recently announced speakers to the schedule include Menno Konigsberger, CEO of Talpa Radio in the Netherlands; Stephanie Hirst, U.K. radio DJ; Tony Thomas, chief marketing and digital officer at NOVA in Australia; Jan-Willem Roodbeen, DJ at NPO Radio 2, Netherlands; Dylan Keefe, director of sound design for “Radio Lab”, WNYC in the U.S.; Adrian Feuerbacher, deputy editor-in-chief, NDR Info, Germany; and Naja Nielsen, head of news for DR in Denmark.

A new session has also been announced. “First Shut Down of FM for DAB+. How Did it Go?” will feature Norway’s Marius Lillelin, NRK head of radio, Kenneth Andersen, head of P4/MTG, and Jacqueline Bierhorst, director, Digital Radio NL, and will focus on the aftermath of Norway’s shutdown of its FM stations in favor of DAB+.

RadioDays attendees also still have the opportunity to apply for both the RadioDays Europe Next Gen 2017 project and the Creative Leadership Program. The Next Gen program is designed for young radio professionals to share ideas, network and develop their careers. Applications, which include basic information and a one minute entry video, must be sent to [email protected].

The Creative Leadership Program offers two days of leadership training from March 18–19, as well as full access to the RadioDays Europe conference, masterclasses and exclusive VIP meetings featuring Mike Fitzpatrick, Aiden McAllen, and Cilla Benkö.
