Aldena Highlights Rugged Antennas

NAB Sneak Peek: New antennas and EMLAB advances

The new AVP020242x FM panel antenna from Aldena, to be shown at the NAB Show, features twin dipoles and high gain, in either vertical or horizontal polarization. Constructed out of weather-resistant hot-dip galvanized steel, the antenna is a suitable solution for harsh environments.

Also new from the Italian firm is the AQP040442x VHF band III antenna (shown). Equipped with four dipoles, the AQP040442x can be configured for vertical, horizontal, circular, elliptical or mixed polarization. Able to broadcast two simultaneous services, such as DTV and DAB, the antenna, says the company, is suitable for any climate.

Aldena’s EMLAB antenna system design software took now supports the ISDB-T standard. EMLAB aids users in the planning of SFN/MFN networks (analog or digital signals) by providing area coverage calculations, interference analysis and SFN problem detection.
