IBC Sneak Peek: Jampro Displays DAB Equipment

Combiners, mask and band pass filters along with compatible antennas available

Antenna and transmission peripherals maker Jampro is promoting its DAB solutions at the IBC2014.

Leading the way is the RCCC-DT4-DAB combiner. Jampro says that installations of up to eight sections have been built and that it is TV-friendly.

On the filter side are the RCEC-XXX-DAB VHF Band III mask filters and RCBC-D06-DAB band-pass filters. Designed for low- and medium-power transmitters, of the RCEC-XXX-DAB series, Jampro says, “Passband insertion loss is minimized by the use of high-Q aluminum cavities. Temperature stability is maintained through tight manufacturing techniques and Invar tuning rods. These mask filters are designed for input power levels up to 4.5 kW. The six-section cross-coupled filters are shipped fully tested.”

For the RCBC-D06-DAB, the company says, “Invar tuning rods create temperature stability and the high-Q aluminum cavities provide low passband insertion loss in a compact package.”

Jampro is also showing a DAB antenna, the JVD vertical polarized side-mount antenna. The antenna can handle Band III and TV signals. It is made of galvanized and stainless steel and integrates with lightweight radomes for environmental protection.

Jampro President Alex Perchevitch said, “As DAB continues to grow in popularity, especially in Europe, we are responding by bringing filters and combiners right a market which has embraced it from the start.”

Jampro will also display equipment for various other formats including the JVD-U and JCD-U broadband for low- to medium-power Bands IV and V.
