Aerostar Will Buy Utah FM

KEGH at one time was part of the Simmons Media Group

Aerostar Communications will purchase a Utah FM station that it currently operates under an LMA.

Aerostar, run by Michael V. Call, will buy KEGH(FM) in Woodruff, Utah, and four boosters in Ogden, Bountiful, Salt Lake City and Provo from SLC Divestiture Trust II, managed by James Burgoyne. The station airs a Spanish-language format and is heard at 107.1 MHz.

“KEGH(FM) has been in the SLC Divestiture Trust II for six years,” according to the announcement from broker Media Service Group, which represented the seller. “It was part of the Simmons Media Group Inc.’s required divestiture of stations in the Salt Lake market.” A previous deal with AASAA Media LLC was approved by the commission in 2016 but never closed.

Call also has an interest in Mav Radio Holdings Inc., licensee of an FM in Lyman, Wyo., serving the Salt Lake-Ogden-Provo market.
