American Target Network Picks Charest

New VP of radio sales will lead radio unwired networks initiative

Direct response radio buying specialist Brett Charest has joined media buying agency American Target Network as vice president of radio networks. He will lay the groundwork to expand its radio offerings.

American Target Network creates “unwired media networks” that deliver customizable national, regional and local advertising buys for cable and broadcast TV, now expanding into radio markets.

For the past 12 years, Charest has worked in planning, buying and negotiating radio campaigns for clients.

Most recently, Charest was media buying director at Barrington Media Group. He began his career in radio at Hartford, Conn.’s WMRQ(FM) and then moved into marketing and promotion with Clear Channel, where he was responsible for four stations. Charest then jumped to the agency side, becoming operations manager at Mediaworx LLC.

Charest will be primarily responsible for network development and affiliate relations and will operate out of the West Coast ATN office, according to a release.

“Growing the radio offerings will give our clients a new, complementary direct marketing channel that will allow them to extend their reach while generating a scalable and outstanding ROI,” said Charest.
