Ampegon Group Announces New Leadership, Direction

Josef Troxler becomes Group CEO, Simon Keens head of sales and marketing

Josef Troxler is the CEO for Ampegon Group

Ampegon Group has appointed Josef Troxler as its new CEO. In this position, Troxler, who is also chairman of the Board of Directors, is responsible for the daily management of all Ampegon Group companies, which include Ampegon AG, Ampegon Antenna Systems GmbH, Ampegon PPT GmbH and AM-Broadcast GmbH.

In his dual role, Troxler, who is an electrical engineer and previously held the position of CEO at Ampegon AG, is working with Ampegon Group staff to develop new products and change strategic direction toward emerging high-tech markets. The group also maintains its strong engagement in the broadcast industry.

The company says, Ampegon Group will “move to sustainably strengthen its competitiveness and meet new challenges in the scientific markets of accelerator and fusion research, medical technology and industrial applications.”

Also as part of the restructuring, the Ampegon Group named Dr. Simon Keens as its new head of sales and marketing. Keens, who is a physicist and holds a doctorate from the University of Salford in Manchester, has worked for Ampegon for the past four years. He is also a member of the United Kingdom Institute of Physics.

Ampegon group announced in November that it had taken over parts of German-based Transradio SenderSysteme, now AM-Broadcast GmbH. The Berlin-based company operates under the direction of Matthias Stoll, who was previously director of marketing at Ampegon AG. Stoll, now based in Berlin, says AM-Broadcast offers MW transmitter solutions based on more than a century of expertise.
