Beasley Promotes Lurie, Smith and Samborski

Lurie, Smith and Samborski get new titles and jobs

AJ Lurie

Beasley Media Group Inc. has promoted AJ Lurie to vice president/market manager, in Wilmington, Del. He replaces Matt Smith, who has been moved to vice president and general sales manager of Beasley Philadelphia’s WPEN(FM), WTEL(AM) and WWDB(AM); he had worked in the market for Beasley before.

Beasley Media Group owns WJBR(FM) and WTMR(AM) in Camden, N.J., comprising the company’s Wilmington market, both of which Lurie will oversee in his new role.

Lurie had served as director of sales for the Ft. Myers-Naples, Fla., market since 2014, and began his career as an account executive in 2007. He had been with the cluster for more than a decade, according to a release.

Matt Smith

A 15-year veteran Beasley employee, Smith has served in sales and leadership positions in Beasley Media Group markets, including Las Vegas, Philadelphia and Wilmington, Del.

Also, Brian Samborski will serve as regional director of national sales for the Boston and Detroit radio markets. He has held a range of positions, including serving as national sales manager at Greater Media for 12 years.
