Blacker to Run CC’s Hispanic Strategy

Clear Channel welcomes Mike Scott as regional market manager for select Southern markets

Liz Sarachek Blacker

U.S. Hispanic advertising expert Liz Sarachek Blacker will join Clear Channel Media and Entertainment as executive vice of Hispanic strategy and sales. The company has also promoted Mike Scott to regional market manager.

Clear Channel says it currently reaches 93% of the Hispanic population in the U.S. In this new position, Blacker will develop and advance the overall strategy to engage the Hispanic audience across all platforms, the company says. She will focus on driving revenue in the category, working with multicultural agencies to create custom campaigns for advertisers. Blacker will also work with Clear Channel’s National Programming Platforms team to create products, content and live events.

Blacker joins Clear Channel from Terra USA, where she has served as chief revenue officer since 2011. During her tenure there, she was responsible for sales and revenue across multiple platforms, working with both the U.S. Hispanic and Latin American media markets. She also previously held senior leadership positions at ImpreMedia LLC and One Economy Corp. Blacker was also previously the executive director and co-creator of Yahoo’s U.S. Hispanic Division from 2002–2005, creating bilingual branding partnerships.

Blacker will be based out of New York City and will report to Tim Castelli, president of National Sales, Marketing and Partnerships at Clear Channel.

In other internal changes, Scott has been named a regional market manager, overseeing the Mobile/Pensacola, New Orleans, Baton Rouge, Biloxi and Laurel/Hattiesburg markets.

Scott has served as director of sales in West Palm Beach since 2011. He has been with the company for more than 12 years serving in a variety of sales management positions in New Orleans, Las Vegas and Dallas.
