KUT(FM), in Austin, Texas, has named Todd Callahan as its first digital platform content director. This is a newly created position.
An announcement describing the appointment and position said Callahan will “will focus on building KUT’s audience through digital platforms, strengthening KUT’s existing relationship with audiences through technology — including building a new iPhone app, and providing the best possible presentation for KUT’s digital content.”
Callahan comes from Time Warner Cable where he oversaw new media and web content management systems, the release noted.
The release also said that the station was planning to “double the impact” of its digital services by 2020.
