Clear Channel Expands Progressive Talk

“There are certain local markets where listeners find progressive talk radio entertaining and informative.”
With that somewhat tentative note, Clear Channel Radio said it will introduce a progressive talk format on two more AM stations, KPOP in San Diego and WHNE in Ann Arbor, Mich. It also said it plans to announce at least two more in coming weeks. The stations will carry the new Air American Radio network, including Al Franken, and local hosts.
Including these two, Clear Channel will air the format on five stations. It said KPOJ(AM) in Portland, Ore., jumped from 26th to third in its market in adults 25-64 after switching to the format.
