Clear Channel Names New PDs for Washington/Baltimore

Howard and King to split duties across the two cities

Clear Channel Media and Entertainment Washington/Baltimore says James Howard has been named program director of WBIG(FM), an oldies station. Kenny King has also been named program director of adult contemporary WASH(FM) and WQSR(FM), a Jack station.

Howard will also continue to program WWDC(FM). He began his radio career with Clear Channel in 2001 and since then has made stops in Orlando, Fla., Albany, N.Y., Atlanta and Tampa, Fla. Howard joined the Washington/Baltimore market in 2010 and most recently programmed WWDC(FM) and WQSR(FM).

King has been on-air and programming for more than 27 years, serving markets, including Washington, Pittsburgh and Charleston, S.C. He has worked in his current market for 15 years as an operations manager and program director at WRQX(FM), WJZW(FM) and WVRX(FM), where he developed on-air and digital brands for a variety of formats.

Clear Channel Washington/Baltimore owns and operates WASH, WBIG, WITH(FM), WMZQ(FM), WWDC, WCAO(AM), WPOC(FM), WQSR and WZFT(FM).
