Nic Merenda
Clear Channel Media and Entertainment San Antonio has named Nic Merenda its new vice president of sales. He will be responsible for advertising, brand partnerships and sales operations for Clear Channel San Antonio’s cluster, which consists of KAJA(FM), KQXT(FM), KRPT(FM), KXXM(FM), KZEP(FM), KTKR(AM) and WOAI(AM).
Merenda has 20 years of sales experience and has spent the past decade working in radio. He has also held a variety of radio sales positions with companies including Citadel Broadcasting, CBS Radio and Emmis Communications. Merenda joins Clear Channel San Antonio from Entercom Communications in Kansas City, where he served as general sales manager since 2009.
Fernando Bauermeister
In other Clear Channel personnel announcements, Clear Channel Tampa, which owns and operates WFLA(FM), WFLZ(FM), WBTP(FM), WXTB(FM), WMTX(FM), WFUS(FM) and WDAE(AM) has tapped Fernando Bauermeister for general sales manager at WFLZ, WXTB and WBTP. He will be responsible for all sales operations and partnerships for those stations.
Bauermeister will join Clear Channel Tampa from the Orlando market, where he was the general sales manager for WRUM(FM), a Hispanic radio station that he helped launch in 2005.
He has been in the radio industry for over two decades, working as an on-air personality, morning show producer, account executive, local sales manager and GSM.
