Cox Media Group Promotes Kim Guthrie

Former TV anchor will serve as Radio EVP

Cox Media Group has named Kim Guthrie as executive vice president of radio. She will report to CMG President Bill Hoffman.

Guthrie currently oversees all of CMG’s radio markets. She was named senior vice president of radio in 2012 and prior to that was CMG Group vice president, overseeing television and radio properties in several markets.

Guthrie joined Cox Radio in 1998 as vice president and general manager for its Long Island, N.Y. properties and has been regional vice president for Cox Radio, where her stations have won multiple honors for programming excellence and outstanding community service, according to a release.

She currently serves on the executive board for the Radio Advertising Board and has held board member positions with the New York Association of Radio Stations. Previously, Guthrie was a television news reporter and anchor.

Cox Media Group is a multiplatform company with broadcasting, publishing, direct marketing and digital media operations. It operates 14 broadcast television stations and one local cable channel, 57 radio stations, eight daily newspapers, over a dozen nondaily publications and more than 100 digital services in more than 20 media markets.
