Crosley Biographer Speaks at VOA Museum

Proceeds go to museum

Rusty McClure, author of “Crosley: Two Brothers and a Business Empire That Transformed a Nation,” will speak at the National Voice of America Museum of Broadcasting, West Chester, Ohio, on Nov. 10 and Nov. 11.

McClure’s Nov. 10 event will be a speech. The $25 admission includes a copy of the book. Proceeds go to the museum. Currently, the museum has an exhibit dedicated to the inventive Powel Crosley.

The Nov. 11 event is a discussion and book signing. That event is accessible via the standard $5 museum admission fee for adults ($1 children).

McClure’s book examines Powel Crosley Jr. and his brother Lewis, along with their fast rising Crosley business empire. At its peak in the 1940s and 50s, besides being possibly the largest radio manufacturer in the world, it also produced refrigerators, cars and other consumer items.
