Cumulus to Test iDitty Technology

Interactive laminates will give stations and sponsors data about fans

Cumulus Media Nashville station WSM(FM) will be the first to test an event premium from iDitty Interactive Souvenirs calling it an “exclusive VIP credential,” according to an announcement.

On March 14, Nash Icon will give out 500 iDitty VIP credentials to attendees of a Locash concert, part of Nash Icon’s Rhythm and Boots concert series. It will also raise money for Musicians On Call.

“Locash and their fans are a perfect target demo,” said iDitty Senior Vice President Hugh Kirkpatrick.

The main feature of the laminates is interactivity. For Nash use it will connect fans with Locash, Nash Icon and Reviver Records after the event and also provide information about concert attendees for the station, label, band and event sponsors. After receiving an artist’s iDitty Interactive Souvenir card, fans install the free iDitty app, enter their email, scan the QR code on the back of the card, and the artist’s music or other uploaded assets are delivered to the fan.

The credentials will also provide Nash Icon, Reviver Records and Locash with information about download activity, fan demographics and will enable them to distribute Perk Alert notifications to fans.

“This platform allows the station another opportunity to interact with our audience following the show,” said Cumulus VP of Country and Cumulus Media Nashville Operations Manager Charlie Cook.
