Dial Global Promotes Steinhauer to COO

Former operations president takes on new role

Radio program syndicator and services provider Dial Global has promoted Charles Steinhauer to chief operations officer. Based in New York City, he will be responsible for overseeing the management of technology, distribution, research, compliance and strategy. He will report directly to CEO Paul Caine.

Steinhauer most recently served as the company’s president of operations, where he managed its sales support divisions.

He began his career as an account executive with business-to-business direct marketing firm Venture Direct Worldwide. In 1997, he took a position as research analyst at Winstar Global Media, which later merged with Dial Communications to form Dial Global. In 2005, while working as the senior vice president of operations, Steinhauer helped to launch Dial Global’s first RADAR rated network, which was the first by an independent network firm.

In 2007, he was promoted to executive vice president and also elected to chair of the Network Radio Research Council. He is a board member of the Media Ratings Council, and he is also a lead on an industry wide research initiative working to improve how radio is incorporated into Marketing Mix Models.
