Ecreso Introduces New Functionalities for its FM Transmitters

New preventative maintenance features and power levels on tap

Ecreso, part of the WorldCast Systems group, recently announced new support functionality and power levels within its range of FM transmitters.

The range now includes 2 kW and 3 kW versions and, according to the company, offers an advanced metering interface and expert maintenance reporting, support services made available to customers as part of a partnership agreement.

The maintenance reporting enables broadcast engineers to keep on top of maintenance issues and ensure that preventive action is taken before any problems occur. Ecreso says that the service sends regular reports on the status of key parameters such as temperature, current, voltage and on the performance and lifespan of components such as the fan and power supply of the transmitter.

The new metering interface allows a broadcast engineer to consult a real-time dashboard that provides an at-a-glance overview of the transmitter performance. Detailed analysis of the RF spectrum, MPX spectrum, audio spectrum and peak meters are presented on-screen simultaneously, in a clear and easily accessible viewing panel.

Both the advanced metering interface and the expert maintenance reporting will be available to WorldCast broadcast and distribution partners in Q4 2012 and freely available in Q1 2013.
