Entercom Names VP of Music Programming in Dallas

WIP sports radio host Angelo Cataldi extended in Philadelphia

Jim Fox

Entercom Communications has appointed Jim Fox as vice president of music programming for the Dallas-Fort Worth cluster, effective Dec. 21. It also announced that it has extended the contract of well-known sports talk show host Angelo Cataldi at WIP(FM).

Fox will also serve as program director for KJKK(FM) and KVIL(FM), which launched its alternative format under Jim’s direction in Dallas on Nov. 17.

Fox joined Entercom Sacramento in 2003 and will continue in his current role as VP of programming in the Sacramento cluster until the end of the year.

He will report to Entercom Dallas-Fort Worth Regional President and Market Manager Brian Purdy.

In Philadelphia, Cataldi is king of his morning show court at WIP and will continue to be for the foreseeable future. He said, “For almost three decades, this has been my only home on the radio, and I have a great debt of gratitude to everyone associated with the station. … This also keeps alive my dream of being at WIP when the Eagles win a Super Bowl. Go, Eagles.”

The announcements come shortly after Entercom’s merger with CBS Radio. The combined entity now has a footprint of 235 stations.
