Entravision Communications Corp., a Spanish-language multiplatform media company, has appointed Hilda Garcia to the newly created position of vice president of multimedia content and community development.
Her responsibilities include the management and development of multimedia content and alignment of digital initiatives across the company’s platforms. In her new role, she will also manage Entravision’s online communities, develop strategies for their growth and oversee digital special events coordination.
In her previous role as vice president of multiplatform news and information at Spanish-language media company Impremedia, she oversaw digital content management and development across traditional and online properties, as well as audience marketing initiatives. She also served as the organization’s news director and managed the integration of a multimedia newsroom across properties.
Garcia has also held the position of multimedia director at Periódico El Universal, Newspaper El Nuevo Dia and America Online, during which she gained experience in content development, program management and digital newsroom integration.
