The 2012 IEEE Broadcast Symposium has begun.
The three-day event includes tutorial sessions, presentation of two dozen papers covering modern broadcasting issues, panel discussions, in addition to the evening receptions for networking and socializing.
The technical program includes presentations on topics like broadcast towers and the government’s national broadband plan, spectrum use and broadcast audio issues.
The conference begins with half-day tutorials on broadcast IP technology and broadcast engineering computer simulation tools.
This year’s luncheon keynote speakers are NAB EVP/CTO Kevin Gage and Capitol Broadcasting VP for Policy and Innovation Sam Matheny.
For those unable to attend in person, symposium sessions will be streamed live over the Internet and also archived.
Up to 2.5 Continuing Education Units are available to attendees.
The event takes place Oct. 17–19 in Alexandria, Va. and Radio World is on-site.
