iHeart Names New PDs in Tampa and Vegas

Cindy Spicer and “Big D” Danielson take on new roles

iHeartMedia says Cindy Spicer has been named program director for WFUS(FM) in Tampa, Fla., effective Feb. 19. Also, iHeartMedia Las Vegas says Wayne “Big D” Danielson has been named program director for KWNR(FM).

Spicer will work closely with on-air personalities and sales to oversee US103.5’s on-air content, digital footprint and music programming. She will report to iHeartMedia Tampa Bay Senior Vice President of Programming Tommy Chuck.

Spicer previously served as the program director and on-air personality for WQIK(FM) in Jacksonville, Fla. She also has worked as a program director and on-air talent for KUSS(FM) in San Diego.

iHeart Tampa Bay consists of WXTB(FM), WFLZ(FM), WFUS(FM), WMTX(FM/HD2), WBTP(FM), WDAE(AM), WFLA(AM), WHNZ(AM) and WRUB(FM).

Wayne Danielson

As PD, Danielson will work closely with on-air personalities and sales to oversee the station brand’s on-air and digital programming, as well as events and partnerships. He will report to Regional Senior Vice President for iHeartMedia Central California/Nevada Tony Matteo.

Danielson joined KWNR from KYMT(FM/HD2) in August 2016. He also previously served as a night personality at KDWB(FM) in Minneapolis. He began his career at KCLD(FM) in St. Cloud, Minn.

iHeart Las Vegas consists of KWNR, KSNE(FM) and KYMT.
