iHeart Taps Jackson for Augusta Programming Gig

Also ups DJ Carisma to music director and mix show coordinator in L.A.

Blaine Jackson

iHeartMedia has named Barnesville, Ga., native Blaine Jackson as program director for Augusta [Ga.] country stations WLUB(FM) and WLUB(HD2). The company also promoted DJ Carisma to music director and mix show coordinator for iHeartMedia Los Angeles’ KRRL(FM).

Jackson will now be responsible for programming operations for 105.7 the Bull and 106.3 Bull Icons and their websites. She joined iHeartMedia in 2010 as a part-time board operator for the cluster of stations in Macon, Ga. Shortly after, she became the PD of iHeartMedia’s three stations in Newnan, Ga. Then, Jackson returned to iHeartMedia Macon to serve as the program director for WIHB(FM).

Carisma

iHeartMedia Augusta owns and operates WBBQ(FM), WKSP(FM), WLUB(FM/HD), WPRW(FM) and WEKL(FM).

In her new role in Los Angeles, Carisma will support the assistant PD with the station’s music programming and oversee the operation of the mixers.

Carisma is joined KRRL(FM) in 2015 as the live DJ/mixer in afternoon drive, and part of the “Young California Radio” collaboration with DJ Amen and Dre Sinatra, which airs on the station Saturday nights from 7 p.m. to midnight.

iHeartMedia Los Angeles owns and operates KRRL, KYSR(FM), KIIS(FM), KOST(FM), KBIG(FM), KLAC(AM), KFI(AM) and KEIB(AM).
