iHeartMedia Makes Change in Boston

Also chooses new PDs, producer in other locales

Shaileen Santoro has been named director of marketing for iHeartMedia’s Boston Region, and the company has also made several programmer/producer changes in San Antonio, Chicago and San Diego.

Santoro will oversee all aspects of iHeartMedia Boston’s marketing and promotions department, working with the sales and programming teams to promote and market concerts, broadcast shows, on-air talent, local community events and partnerships on air and online.

She most recently served as marketing manager for the Boston cluster.

iHeartMedia Boston owns and operates WXKS(AM/FM/HD), WJMN(FM), WKOX(AM) and WBWL(FM).

The San Antonio cluster has tapped Kyle Due as program director for KAJA(FM) and KRPT(FM), effective immediately. He will also serve as weekday afternoon on-air personality for KJ 97. iHeartMedia San Antonio has a strong cross-platform presence.

He will be responsible for the day-to-day programming operations of KJ97. He will work with on-air personalities and sales to oversee the station brand’s on-air content, digital footprint and music programming, as well as his on-air duties. He will report to Senior Vice President of Programming for iHeartMedia Austin/San Antonio Brian Gann.

Due has worked as both an on-air talent and programmer for iHeartMedia for the past 16 years, and most recently served as program director for WAEB and WZZO in Allentown, Pa. His previous stops include Winchester, Va.; Charlotte; Washington; Philadelphia; Chattanooga, Tenn.; Greensboro, N.C.; and most recently, Allentown, in his home state of Pennsylvania.

Kaelin Roberts

iHeartMedia San Antonio owns and operates KZEP(FM), KXXM(FM), KAJA(FM), KQXT(FM), WOAI(AM), KTKR(AM), KRPT(FM), KZEP(HD3) and KQXT(HD3).

Also, Kaelin Roberts has been named executive producer for the “Fred+Angi Morning Show” on Chicago station WKSC(FM, effective July 17.

Roberts will be responsible for managing the “Fred+Angi Morning Show” brand, including show content preparation, multiplatform quality control and behind-the-scenes show operations.

She is a Detroit native who began her career as an intern at iHeartMedia Detroit’s WKQI(FM). She spent two years as an associate producer for the station’s “Mojo in the Morning” show.

Roberts is a graduate of Michigan State University and Illinois Center for Broadcasting in Chicago, during which time she says she was a frequently WKSC(FM) listener.

iHeartMedia Chicago owns and operates WKSC(FM), WLIT(FM/HD), WEBG(FM), WVAZ(FM), WGCI(FM) and WGRB(AM).

And Joe Haze has been named program director for KMYI(FM) in San Diego. He will work with on-air personalities and sales to oversee the station brand’s on-air and digital news programming, as well as local events and partnerships.

Haze currently serves as program director for KHTS(FM) and afternoon drive host for KMYI(FM). In his new role, Haze will serve as program director for both stations, while continuing to serve as afternoon drive host on KMYI. Haze previously worked as night host at KHTS. Before moving to San Diego, he worked at WAPE(FM) and WJBT(FM) in Jacksonville, Fla., and KZZP(FM) in Phoenix.

iHeartMedia San Diego owns and operates KGB(FM), KHTS(FM), KIOZ(FM), KLSD(AM), KMYI(FM), KOGO(AM) and KSSX(FM).
