iHeartMedia Names Area President for Pittsburgh/West Virginia Region

Also makes changes in Vegas, Sacramento and the Pacific Northwest

iHeartMedia West Virginia announced Mark Fuhrman has been named area president for the Pittsburgh/West Virginia Region. iHeartMedia West Virginia includes 22 music, talk and news radio stations.

In his new role, Fuhrman will work with the programming, business and sales teams for radio station brands in Huntington, Parkersburg and Wheeling, W.Va., to oversee on-air and digital programming as well as create new business and revenue opportunities. He will report to Tim McAleer, president of iHeartMedia’s Pittsburgh Region.

Fuhrman joins iHeartMedia from IMG College, where he served as general manager and managed Thundering Herd Sports Marketing for Marshall University in West Virginia. Previously, he was VP of sales and marketing for the Major League Lacrosse expansion franchise Atlanta Blaze and spent 10 years as VP/GM of Comcast Sports Southeast regional sports television network in Atlanta. Fuhrman also spent several years in the National Football League, initially joining the organization in 1994 as director of club marketing for the league office and later serving as director of marketing for the Pittsburgh Steelers and director of sales & marketing for the Atlanta Falcons. He has also held various positions with Procter & Gamble, Gallo Winery and Miller Brewing Company’s Sports Group.

In Las Vegas, K280DD(FM) has chosen Roxy Romeo as assistant PD and music director. Roxy is currently on-air on REAL 103.9 from 10 a.m.–3 p.m. daily, and will remain in that timeslot.

Also, iHeartMedia Sacramento has named Bryan “B-Dub” Washington program director and afternoon drive host for KBEB(FM).

Washington will be responsible for the day-to-day programming operations of 92.5 The Bull. He will work with on-air personalities and sales to oversee the station’s on-air content, digital footprint and music programming.

He joins KBEB(FM) from KMLE(FM) in Phoenix, where he served as music director and afternoon drive host. He has also worked as an on-air personality in Philadelphia, Milwaukee and Portland, Ore., where he was an on-air host at KUPL(FM). Washington is also the host of “Buckwild Saturday Night,” a nationally syndicated country program that airs on 48 stations.

iHeartMedia Sacramento owns and operates KBEB(FM), KQJK(FM), KQJK(HD2), KHYL(FM), KSTE(AM) and KFBK(AM).

In the Pacific Northwest, Geoff “G-Off” Owens has been named PD for KXJM(FM) in Portland and KUBE(FM) in Seattle/Tacoma, Wash. Owens will also serve as afternoon drive host for both stations, a position he’s held since 2012. Owens will be responsible for day to-day programming operations for KXJM and KUBE. He will work with on-air personalities and sales to oversee the on-air content, digital footprint and music programming for both stations.

Owens has worked at KXJM since 2004, when he joined the radio station as an intern. He was promoted to night on-air host in 2010 and moved to host afternoons at the station in 2012. In 2016, Owens was named assistant program director and music director for KXJM.
