iHeartMedia Norfolk Names Market President

The AntMan is up and at ’em in Austin; Trimmer rises in Phoenix

Angel Brown has been named market president for iHeartMedia Norfolk in Virginia. Also, iHeartMedia Austin announced Anthony “The AntMan” Allen has been named program director for KASE and KVET(FM); and iHeartMedia Phoenix has tapped Aaron Trimmer as program director for KYFI(AM/HD2) and KGME(AM), effective July 5.

Brown will oversee iHeartMedia Norfolk’s four station brands and utilize its assets to provide programming for local listeners as well as work with partners and advertisers to create new revenue opportunities. She will also be responsible for the market’s operations, including sales, on-air and digital programming, events and promotion initiatives.

She previously worked as the market vice president for Cumulus in Mobile, Ala., where she also served as the market manager and VP of sales.

iHeartMedia Norfolk owns and operates WHBT(FM), WMOV(FM), WNOH(FM), WOWI(FM) and is part of iHeartMedia.

In the Texas capital city, the AntMan will report to iHeartMedia Austin/San Antonio SVP of Programming Brian Gann. He will also serve as weekday afternoon on-air personality for KASE(FM) and will be responsible for the day-to-day programming operations of both KASE and KVET(AM/FM/HD2).

He has been with iHeartMedia for 17 years, most recently serving as assistant PD and music director for KNIX(FM) in Phoenix, a station he joined in 2013 after working as assistant PD and afternoon on-air personality at iHeartMedia Nashville’s WSIX(FM). His background includes programming duties at iHeartMedia’s KZSN(FM) in Wichita, Kan. He also hosts the nationally syndicated “Country House Party” on Saturday nights.

iHeartMedia Austin owns and operates KASE, KHFI(FM), KPEZ(FM) KASE(FM/HD2) and KVET.

Over in Phoenix, Trimmer will work with talent and sales to oversee brands’ on-air and digital programming, as well as local events and partnerships.

He previously worked as the PD for WRVA(AM), WRNL(AM) and Virginia News Network, where he worked with on-air personalities and sales to oversee the stations’ on-air and digital music programming. He also served as the program director for WHAM(AM), WSYR(AM) and Fox Sports 128; PD for WERC(FM) and Alabama Radio Network; and program director for WLAP(AM).

iHeartMedia Phoenix owns and operates KESZ(FM), KYFI(AM), KGME(AM), KMXP(FM), KNIX(FM), KOY(AM), KYOT(FM) and KZZP(FM).
