Mike Saffer has been named market president for iHeartMedia Tucson, and iHeartMedia Cedar Rapids says Sean Strife is now program director for KOSY(FM) in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
As market president, Saffer will work with the programming and sales teams for iHeartMedia Tucson’s seven radio station brands to oversee on-air and digital programming as well as create new revenue opportunities for local clients and partners. He will also manage the market’s live concerts, community events and promotion initiatives.
Saffer previously served as the vice president of sales for Clear Channel Outdoor Tucson. He is a Tucson native and has spent over 15 years in outdoor sales and sales leadership roles.
iHeartMedia Tucson owns and operates KRQQ(FM), KMIY(FM), KOHT(FM), KNST(AM), KYWD(FM), KXEW(AM) and KTZR(AM) and is a part of iHeartMedia.
In Iowa, Sean Strife will work with on-air personalities, sales and the digital team to oversee programming content and music for KOSY.
Previously, Strife worked as the producer for KIIS(FM)’s “On Air With Ryan Seacrest” in Los Angeles. He also produced the “Jesse Lozano in the Morning” show and was an on-air personality for iHeartMedia Los Angeles’, KLAC(AM). Strife is originally from Boca Raton, Fla., and began his career in the radio industry in Gainesville and West Palm Beach before moving to L.A. in 2013.
iHeartMedia Cedar Rapids owns and operates WMT(AM), KXIC(AM), KMJM(AM), KKRQ(FM), KKSY(FM) and KOSY.
