Lawo has hired David Antoine as a member of its radio technical support team in New York, effective Nov. 1.
Antoine, a certified broadcast radio engineer and certified broadast networking technician, will offer hardware and software technical support, systems installation assistance, system commissioning, equipment training and overall system design services.
He most recently worked as the director of broadcast IT for Westwood One/Cumulus Media’s technical operations center in Purchase, N.Y. During his four-decade career, Antoine has held positions with New York radio outlets, including WNCN(FM), WOR(AM), WBLS(FM) and WQXR(FM). He has also toured as a live-sound engineer.
“His familiarity with daily radio operations and expert knowledge of how to build, configure and administer AoIP networks and equipment makes him an invaluable addition to our growing North American team of technical experts,” said Lawo Americas Technical Director Sam Schauland.
Lawo is headquartered in Germany but has offices in New York.
