Terry Peters will take over as new market manager for a region of NRG Media that has always been his family’s vacation destination: Rhinelander, Wis.
“We have selected a manager for this important cluster who meets all of our criteria including radio managerial experience, a broad depth of experience in industries important to our growth in radio and, equally important in this area, an understanding, appreciation and love of the unique area and lifestyle that is the Northwoods of Wisconsin,” said NRG Chief Operations Officer Chuck DuCoty.
The six stations he will oversee are based in the Northwoods region, with several in Rhinelander and Minoqua. The Rhinelander stations include WHDG(FM), WRHN(FM) and WOBT(AM/FM), and WRLO(FM) broadcasts from Antiqua, Wis., to the Rhinelander market. Minoqua stations in the group are WLKD(AM) and WMQA(FM).
Peters has experience working for industries that are strategic to the radio stations and digital assets he will be managing. He recently served as vice president of enrollment for AIB College of Business in Des Moines, Iowa. Peters previously managed radio stations in Des Moines for Citadel, worked for Cox Radio and Cox Target Media in St. Petersburg and held the position of regional vice president/general manager of the Florida Region of Westwood One’s Metro Networks.
