Resler Hangs His Shingle

Consultancy to focus on radio stations using the Internet

Seth Resler, a former program director, is opening up an Internet consultancy for radio stations. He describes it as, “Online strategies for on air pros.”

He says in his announcement: “There’s a lot of vague talk about how radio stations should be using the Internet … You hear buzzwords like ‘mobile strategy’ and ‘disruptive innovation’ tossed about. But nobody’s actually showing people, in a concrete, step-by-step manner, what radio stations should do. I aim to provide that expertise.”

The practical approach looks to be borne out with materials entitled: “How to Build a Radio Morning Show for the Internet Age,” “How to Aircheck Yourself Using Amazon’s Mechanical Turk” and “How to Write a Social Media Policy for Your Radio Station.”

Resler has spent time at WBRU(FM), Providence, R.I.; KPNT(FM), St. Louis; WBCN(FM), Boston; KNDD(FM), Seattle; WXRK(FM), New York; and KEZR(FM), San Jose, Calif. He’s also worked with Internet radio portal TuneIn.

He’s also touting his Internet experience, “In 2006, I left full-time radio to enter the new world of online marketing. I returned to Silicon Valley, where I honed my Internet skills.”
