SBS Names EVP of Aire Radio Networks/National Radio Sales

Also taps new SVP to work with her

Spanish Broadcasting System has named Elisa Torres as executive vice president of Aire Radio Networks and national radio sales. The Spanish-language and Hispanic culture-oriented media company also appointed Michelle Marino as senior vice president of the same teams.

“As we continue to enhance our cross-platform multimedia offerings, it is critical that we also reshape our national and network business units for long-term success,” said SBS COO Albert Rodriguez.

Torres has been with SBS for more than five years. In her expanded role, she will oversee the integration and development of the network and national radio business and sales operations. In addition, she will manage SBS’ national ad representation firm, Gen Media. Prior to joining SBS, Torres was an executive for Cumulus Media/ABC Radio Networks from 2004–13.

In her new role as SVP, Marino will be responsible for implementing network and national sales strategies, including developing client relationships and creating integrated marketing platforms. Prior to joining SBS, she was vice president of sales for Univision Network Radio, and she has more than two decades of experience in the industry.

SBS owns and operates 17 radio stations located in the top U.S. Hispanic markets of New York, Los Angeles, Miami, Chicago, San Francisco and Puerto Rico. SBS also operates Aire Radio Networks, a national radio platform which creates, distributes and markets Spanish-language radio programming to over 250 affiliated stations.
