Matt Scarano, recently posted in Chicago as Clear Channel’s director of sales for that market, has been named as the new president and market manager for the Atlanta Clear Channel operation.
Noting several company performance awards that Clear Channel Chicago won under Scarano’s leadership, Clear Channel’s Executive Vice President of Operations for Major Markets East Tom McConnell stated, “Matt’s exceptional performance in Chicago was recognized throughout the company and we’re excited for him to take on his new role in Atlanta.”
He succeeds Melissa Forrest, whom the company says is moving to a senior role to be announced later.
Scarano has worked in the Atlanta radio market previously, at ABC Radio and Big League Broadcasting. The CC Atlanta cluster consists of WBZY(FM), WKLS(FM), WWLG(FM), WWVA(FM) and WGST(AM).
