South by Southwest Conference and Festival 2013, in Austin, Texas, starting March 8, will feature the third annual Radio Day Stage, sponsored by the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers.

Located in the Austin Convention Center in Ballroom D, participants can see performances from artists, including Vampire Weekend, Bajofondo, Jake Bugg, Lissie, Divine Fits. SXSW is partnering with Santa Monica’s KCRW(FM), Austin’s KUTX(FM), Fordham University’s WFUV(FM), California State Northridge’s KCSN(FM), University of Pennsylvania’s WXPN(FM), Dallas’ KXT(FM), Minneapolis’ The Current KCMP(FM), SXSWfm and Colombian broadcaster Radionica to broadcast and curate the performance the Radio Day Stage performances.

Clear Channel’s iHeartRadio will also host a SXSW showcase featuring performances by Josh Baze, Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, Tegan and Sara and Atlas Genius at The Main in downtown Austin. The performances will coincide with the app’s Austin 2013 digital station. Internet music service Pandora will return to SXSW with the Pandora Discovery Den at Antone’s. Over 40 acts are scheduled to perform there throughout the week, and the performances will feature a different genre each day, ranging from Indie and Electronic, R&B and Hip-Hop to Americana. These will also be featured online via the Pandora Discovery Den mixtape station.

The Public Radio Rocks SXSW Day Stage will bring the musical experience of SXSW to public radio listeners through live broadcasts carried by KUTX, WXPN, KXT, WFUV and The Current.

These five public radio stations will present a special concert and live radio broadcast and webcast from the SXSW Radio Day Stage at the Austin Convention Center on Friday, March 15. The concert and broadcast start at noon and will feature performances by Charles Bradley, Dawes, Divine Fits, Emmylou Harris with Rodney Crowell, Iron & Wine, Pickwick and Vampire Weekend.

Clear Channel will also host a panel, moderated by Tom Poleman, president of national programming platforms at Clear Channel, which will explore “Navigating the Waters of Radio to Your Benefit.” The session will examine the medium’s social relevance and music discovery function, and the panel will feature record producers and songwriter RedOne; David Field, president and CEO of Entercom Communications; Daniel Glass, president and CEO of Glassnote Entertainment Group; and Peter Gray, senior vice president of promotions at Warner Music Group.
