Univision Again Joins in Radiothon

‘Promesa y Esperanza’ to benefit St. Jude Children’s Hospital

Spanish language network Univision Radio will be participating in the Promesa y Esperanza (“Promise and Hope”) radiothon, raising funds for St. Jude Children’s Hospital on Feb. 3–4.

According to the announcement, the network, participating for its 14th year, will devote 30 hours of programming across two days. Much of it will be devoted to personal stories about individual cases. Listeners can call (800) 998-VIDA (8432) or visit www.promesayesperanza.org during the radiothon to make a donation of $20 per month to become an “Angel de Esperanza” for St. Jude.

Richard C. Shadyac Jr., CEO of ALSAC, the fundraising organization of St. Jude, thanked Univision Radio in the announcement: “Thanks to the efforts and commitment of Univision’s staff and the generosity of its listeners, we anticipate another successful radiothon that will help St. Jude give hope to kids in communities everywhere who are battling childhood cancer and other deadly diseases.”

Univision operates 70 radio stations in the U.S. and Puerto Rico. Major radio markets include New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Houston, Dallas, Miami, Phoenix, San Antonio and San Francisco. Univision’s website will participate in the campaign.
