Zetta 3 From RCS

Latest version of playout system furthers mobile

Broadcast software developer RCS has announced that its Zetta playout and automation system is available in version 3.

RCS President and CEO Philippe Generali said, “The release is centered on enhancements driven directly from consumer user groups. The mobile functionality in Zetta is unmatched and you will continue to see our product lines grow in this direction.”

RCS stresses that most any mobile tool — smartphone, tablet or laptop — full control of a Zetta system is possible from a remote location.

New or enhanced features include increased integration with RCS’ GSelector scheduler, a stronger voice-tracking module and the new Z-Player media player.

RCS is also pointing at what it labels a “true” multitrack editor, saying, “In this new tool, audio is left in its native format, sessions can be saved and audio mixed down faster than in real-time. This allows the user to add the resulting audio to the library, drag it to a hot key for playback later, or play it directly out of the editor.”

Additional goodies included improved satellite programming interfacing, a reworking of WANcasting capabilities, a background recorder, enhanced library and log functions, better hot keys and stacks, improvements to the sequencer and many GUI tweaks.
