Mayah will display its portable recorder codecs, which are targeted to live reporting and interviews.

The Sporty transmits while simultaneously recording to USB sticks or SD cards. The small and light codec is described as a portable studio with two audio formats, MPEG 4 HEv2 and MPEG 4 AAC ELD (a temporary name for a work item of MPEG 4, implementation from Coding Technologies).

Highlights include one-touch “High-Quality” and “Low-Latency” functionality. FlashCasts technology enables Sporty automatically to recognize and connect to most audio codecs and available formats, suitable for situations where the destination codec is not known.

Additionally, Mayah expanded its Flashman digital recorder with the ability simultaneously to record and transmit the audio back to the studio. Flashman II also records to SD Cards and USB sticks, and supports most modern networks and interfaces such as WLAN, UMTS/3G and Ethernet. Like Sporty, it provides a range of coding algorithms, including MPEG 4 HEv2 and MPEG 4 AAC ELD.
