Cumulus Connects With AMA
From Gary Kline and the folks at Cumulus Media. The company made a big splash at the American Music Awards in Los Angeles by producing live remotes for many of its major market stations.
DJs from more than 15 stations were on hand. They got cracks at live artist interviews and even a few impromptu performances.
Stations with a presence were (all FMs): WWWQ, Atlanta; WRRM, Cincinnati; WVMX, Columbus, Ohio; KIMN, Denver; KBXX and KRBE, Houston; WFMS, Indianapolis; KLOS, Los Angeles, WPOW, Miami; WQQK, Nashville; WNSH and WPLJ, New York; WRDW, Philadelphia; KBFF, Portland, Ore.; KSAN, San Francisco; WKYS, Washington; and WRMF, West Palm Beach, Fla. The formats represented ranged from country to urban.
