IBC Sneak Peek: WorldCast Shows Solar FM

Solar-powered FM transmitter is designed for areas with limited electrical infrastructure

WorldCast Systems will be exhibiting the new solar-powered FM transmitter/retransmitter at IBC2017.

According to the company, Solar FM offers hybrid AC power and can broadcast for up to 10 hours over 10 kilometers on solar power alone, and for even longer using its hybrid power source.

Solar FM is designed for areas with limited electrical infrastructure or for temporary installations. It can receive audio from a number of different sources such as its inbuilt satellite and FM receivers or analog and AES inputs and broadcast to remote communities, festivals and events and disaster relief areas.

In addition, a smartphone app provides full configuration capabilities and enables daily scheduling of operations.

Solar FM is supplied as a turnkey system with solar panel, FM antennas, satellite dish or antenna and the robust FM transmitter.
