NAB Seeks Proposals for 2018 BEITC

Now is your opportunity to share ideas with your colleagues in Las Vegas

The National Association of Broadcasters says it’s now accepting speaking proposals for the Broadcast Engineering and Information Technology Conference. The deadline to submit proposals is Oct. 23.

The BEITC, which was rebranded from its former “Broadcast Engineering Conference” moniker last spring, will held as part of the 2018 NAB Show, April 7-12 in Las Vegas.

According to the announcement, “NAB Show seeks presenters with fresh ideas and unique perspectives on key trends and technologies driving the future of radio, television and general technology topics.”

The BEITC’s target audience is composed of broadcast engineers and technicians, contract engineers, broadcast equipment manufacturers, distributors, engineering consultants, and R&D engineers.

The conference features technical papers addressing opportunities and challenges facing broadcast engineering and industry IT professionals.

Radio topics that are of particular interest include: all-digital AM & FM HD Radio, AoIP/SIP/AES67, FM HD Radio power increase, FM translators and other new radio technologies.

Note that the committee will look favorably upon original research, but proposals that appear to be hawking products (not the underlying technology) will not be accepted.
