Among the topics that will be covered during the conference are the history of broadcast engineering, a debate on the implications of 5G for broadcast, and a behind-the-scenes look at the #onelovemanchester conference was transmitted.

In addition, mini-masterclass sessions on smart speakers and RF safety will be offered, as well as demonstrations of a virtual studio and how to protect a station from a cyber attack.

The conference is also making an effort to encourage new people to enter into the broadcast technology and engineering fields.

There will be sessions on how engineers can work with local schools to educate the next generation; research on how object-based audio can assist with hearing-loss; and what the AES-67 standard will mean in real life.

An exclusive mini-trade fair for attendees will be held during the conference and will feature representatives from Broadcast Bionics, Broadcast Radio, HHB, Wedel, Preco, the IET and STEMNET.

RadioTech Con 2017 will take place at IET London: Savoy Place on Nov. 27.
