Recent AUI updates include site control for doors, generators etc.

Nautel will feature models from its FM transmitter line at IBC 2017 and also highlight features and recent upgrades for its Advanced User Interface, shown.

The company offers the VS Series of low-power FM products with power levels from 300 W to 2.5 kW; the midrange NVLT Series, from 3.5 to 40 kW; and the top-end GV Series, 3.5 to 80 kW. On the AM side it builds the NX Series of AM transmitters ranging from 3 kW to 400 kW.

Nautel will highlight that it has shipped approximately 7,500 FM and MW transmitters equipped with advanced monitoring and control capabilities. Since 2008 its major transmitters have incorporated the AUI, which is designed to help engineers manage transmitter monitoring and service.

The AUI is accessible from any location with an Internet connection. In addition to computer access on VS, NV, NVLT, NX and GV transmitters, it is available via a large front-panel touch screen on NX, NV and GV models.Metering can be configured down to the amplifier level. Displays include impedance measurement, instrument-grade spectrum and audio analyzers, IBOC/DRM modulation analyzers, various control functions, scheduling and logging. The system can notify users of trouble via email.

Recent AUI updates include the addition of an oscilloscope view that monitors audio source signals in the time domain, and site control functions for management of items external to the transmitter, such as doors or generators.
