Codec maker Tieline has announced the availability of new firmware for its Bridge-IT and Bridge-IT Xtra codecs.
V2.16.120 brings support for SmartStream Plus dual redundant IP streaming to the Bridge-IT family. In addition, new is support for Bridge-IT codecs receiving Fuse-IP streams from ViA, Merlin and Genie codecs using Fuse-IP bonding.
The new version decreases reliance upon Java programs by no longer supporting the Java Toolbox GUI. In favor is the HTML5 Toolbox which the new firmware supports.
Other features added or enhanced include SNMP; deterministic SIP routing and upgraded SIP security features; adding six SIP user accounts and two SIP interfaces; codec caller IDs; support for digital SSL certificates; Improvements to Speed Dialing; firmware upgrades using an SD card; and backup and restore system configuration using an SD card.
