Following your publication of B. Robert Clark’s open letter to EAS manufacturers in the Dec. 29 issue, I must say that I was pleasantly surprised.
Although Comlab isn’t a manufacturer of EAS devices (we build the Davicom MAC remote controls), I still feel that feedback like this from customers is one of the best ways to help guide manufacturers’ development plans.
One of the biggest thrills I get at shows is seeing the look in a customer’s eye when he finds out that we’ve implemented a feature he suggested that will save him time and make his professional life easier. More engineers should express their needs and give us manufacturers the opportunity to solve their problems this way.
