WorldCast Systems has released a software update for its flagship FM/DAB+ test and measurement platform, the Audemat MC6.
“This new version significantly strengthens DAB mobile measurements while expanding laboratory and automation capabilities,” the company said.
Version 1.4 introduces improvements to DAB and DAB+ field analysis, particularly for mobile measurement campaigns. It integrates enriched embedded data for advanced Single-Frequency Network analysis; the company says this provides deeper visibility into transmitter contribution and network synchronization under driving conditions.
Also, its GoldenEar FM audio quality analysis technology is now available for mobile DAB measurements.
“It delivers a simple and objective reception quality score alongside RF and modulation parameters, enabling more accurate and actionable network optimization,” WorldCast stated.
Version 1.4 also expands the MC6’s role in laboratory and manufacturing environments. It integrates analog audio, AES audio and MPX signal generation, providing reference signals for calibration and equipment alignment and reducing dependence on external generators.
A new Automatic Lab Measurements module adds distortion analysis. Remote control via Telnet enables seamless integration into automated test benches, site or factory acceptance testing workflows.
Director of Product Marketing Gregory Mercier said the release reflects input from broadcasters and regulators who use the MC6 in the field and in labs.
The upgrade is available now and is included for customers with an active service contract. New software modules can be purchased and activated through a license key.
