Alexander, Hogan Named SBE Fellows

The Society of Broadcast Engineers Board of Directors has elevated Cris Alexander and Ralph Hogan to the membership rank of Fellow

LAS VEGAS�The Society of Broadcast Engineers Board of Directors has announced that it has elevated Cris Alexander (show above at right) and Ralph Hogan (left) to the membership rank of Fellow. The selection was made at an April 12 meeting in Las Vegas during the 2015 NAB Show.

Alexander, CPBE, AMD, DRB, is director of engineering for Crawford Broadcasting, a position he has held since 1984. He joined the SBE in 1985. Alexander has served on the SBE Board of Directors and is a member of the Certification and Education Committees. In 2007, he received the Robert W. Flanders SBE Engineer of the Year award.

Ralph Hogan, CPBE, DRB, CBNE, is the associate general manager � engineering and technology services for Rio Salada College, which operates KJZZ(FM), KBAQ(FM), Sun Sounds and Spot 127. He has been an SBE member since 1990, and has served on the board of directors and several national committees. He was president of the SBE from 2011 to 2013. He currently serves as chairman of the SBE Certification Committee. His professional activities include work on various board and committees for the IEEE, NPR, PBS, NRSC and ATSC, and he is the founding president of the Association of Public Radio Engineers.
