CCW Rebrands as NAB Show New York

CEO Smith says name change reflect event’s expanded focus

WASHINGTONThe National Association of Broadcasters has changed the name of its New York City-based Content & Communications World. The event, which is currently being held at the Javits Convention Center, will be known as NAB Show New York going forward.

The new logo and tagline The Essence of NAB. The Power of NYC was presentedby NAB President and CEO Gordon Smith in New York.

The goal for the new brand is to enhance the experience for all attendees while making the event unique to New York a mecca for the media and entertainment community,Smith said.

NAB Show New York is intended to enable attendees to experience a more intimate and focused setting than its Las Vegas counterpart, while the locale offers global access andsimplifiestravel for attendees who are East Coast residents.

We intend to retain many of the features that have contributed to CCWs success, such as accessibility, community, and the ability to efficiently get business done, NAB Executive Vice President of Conventions and Business Operations Chris Brown explained. The new brand, however, will allow us to leverage the strength, leadership and content connections of NAB Show and take it to a new level by offering more innovative programming, attracting new markets and driving deeper engagement among attendees and exhibitors.
