Jacobs and Goldstein to Cover Digital Dash and Podcasts at Radio Show

Duo to participate in two-part session on Sept. 6

The Radio Show has announced Jacobs Media/Jacapps President Fred Jacobs and Amplifi Media Founder/CEO Steven Goldstein will headline a two-part session on Wednesday, Sept. 6.

“Radio’s New Strategies and New Platforms,” sponsored by vCreative, will cover how radio can optimize its presence in the digital dash and strategies for podcast success. Jacobs will reveal findings from a recent NAB study on modern in-car radio and discuss strategies for success. Goldstein will then share tactics for capitalizing on podcasts, and he will also introduce a popular podcast host.

Credited for creating and popularizing the Classic Rock radio format, Jacobs launched Jacobs Media in 1983. Prior to this, he designed and managed research projects for the radio and publishing divisions of research and consulting firm Frank N. Magid Associates. Later, he worked as director of radio research for the ABC owned-and-operated radio stations and as program director for Detroit’s WRIF(FM).

Steve Goldstein has created and developed several successful radio brands. After holding positions at several local stations, Goldstein co-founded Saga Communications, which currently owns or operates broadcast properties in 26 markets. In 2015, he launched Amplifi Media and works with broadcast and podcast companies on strategy, content and marketing in the rapidly growing on-demand audio space.

Produced by the National Association of Broadcasters and the Radio Advertising Bureau, the Radio Show will be held Sept. 5–8 at the JW Marriott in Austin, Texas.
