SYDNEY — Australia-based Røde Microphones has announced that it has acquired U.S.-based audio technology manufacturer Aphex, which is known for its range of audio signal processing equipment.
Aphex was founded 1975 and is a popular brand in the music, film, video, theater, gaming and communications industries. Aphex holds a number of patents and licensing to a wide range of brands around the world.
Røde Microphones, a designer of microphones and related accessories for studio, live and location use, will look to expand Aphex’s audience around the globe. Aphex will continue to trade as usual.
