SBE Leadership Development Course Returns to Atlanta

Three-day class is tailored for broadcast engineers, taught by Purdue University professor

INDIANAPOLIS � The Society of Broadcast Engineers has announced it will host the 2018 edition of its annual Leadership Development Course from Aug. 7-9 in suburban Atlanta.

Register online here. The enrollment fee is $670 for SBE members but jumps to $725 for non-members.

The three-day course is an �intensive study� of leadership and management, tailored for broadcast engineers, by Purdue University professor of organizational leadership and supervision Rodney Vandeveer. It targets those who either �have or aspire to have management responsibilities.�

Also note that completion of this course qualifies for three 3 recertification credits, according to Category G of the Recertification Schedule.

The SBE has offered this training since 1997, and prior to that, the National Association of Broadcasters sponsored it from 1965 to 1995.

Vandeveer has taught the course for the past six years, and has three decades� worth of human resources management, training, development and manufacturing experience.

The LDC will be held at the Hyatt Place Atlanta Airport South, which is also offering a discounted room rate of� $126 per night, plus tax, for attendees (through July 7).
