The Conclave Now Accepting Scholarship Applications

MINNEAPOLIS�The Conclave is now accepting applications for The Bill Gavin Memorial Scholarship at the Specs Howard School of Media Arts.

These scholarships will be awarded November 14, during the 39th Conclave Learning Conference in Minneapolis.

Bill Gavin was a Wisconsin radio personality and publisher of trade publication, which also ran the Gavin Seminar, a convention for radio industry members. He was one of the original advisers for the Conclave when it formed in 1976.

The scholarship recipient will receive an admission to the Broadcast Media Arts program at Specs Howard School of Media Arts in Southfield, Mich., valued at $16,200. This scholarship includes all texts and materials needed for the course application fees, books and supplies. The recipient will be required to meet Specs Howard School”s standard entrance requirement in order to receive the scholarship.

Since 1979 Conclave scholarships programs have been available to students who want careers in media/radio/TV/Internet in any facet of broadcasting.

The Conclave offers webinars, a Speaker”s Bureau and its annual Learning Conference. Since 1979, The Conclave has provided over $1 million in media scholarships.
