Todd Fisher Wallin Passes Away

Community radio engineer and supporter fell from tree

VIROQUA, Wis. � Radio engineer Todd Fisher Wallin has passed away after falling from a tree he was working in.

He was well-known in Wisconsin, recently working with WDRT(FM) in Viroqua as operations coordinator. He was very active with community radio stations, especially LPFMs. He had helped out over the years stations such as KMUD, KHOI, WLPP, KKWE and WNUC.

He was known as a specialist in installing Rivendell automation systems for stations. Here is a story touching on some of those efforts.

WDRT colleague and business partner David Klann said, �Todd embodied community radio. �Community� was just as important to Todd as �radio.� There was nothing Todd wouldn�t do for his friends in the community radio world.�

He was fatally injured falling out of a tree that he was trimming at a recently purchased home in La Crosse, Wis. After over a week in the hospital he passed away form his injuries. There is a donation website set up to help the family.
